Maia Francisco is a Barcelona-based performer and sound artist whose work revolves around the exploration of pure sound. With a strong emphasis on improvisation and a thoughtful application of electronics, she crafts sonic experiences that challenge traditional boundaries and invite listeners into immersive auditory landscapes.
Maia’s artistic foundation was shaped at Barcelona’s Escola Massana Centre d’Art i Disseny, where she studied art and design, and at the Conservatory of Music, where she trained as a pianist. Her passion for sound led her to pursue a Master’s in Sonology at the Institute of Sonology at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag, Netherlands.
